Michael Blosil was the 18-year-old adopted son of Marie Osmond and Brian Blosil. Osmond and Blosil had eight children, five of whom were adopted, including Michael. Michael was known to be battling severe depression, and checked himself into a depression treatment facility in 2007, when he was 16.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:00 pm PST. Shortly after, his body was discovered on the ground, below an apartment balcony. Paramedics were on the scene after receiving a 911 call just before 9:30pm indicating that someone had fallen.
