Blindfolded, 1,500 miles from home, 70-year-old Paul White was being driven along a twisting mountain road to an unknown destination. No, it wasn’t a kidnapping, or even a mystery novel. It was a mystery vacation.

From the moment White left his house in East Sandwich, Mass., until well into the 15-day vacation his wife spent two years planning, he didn’t know where he’d be going or what he’d be doing.

The same thing happened to Heather and Brian Cornwell, of Jacksonville, Fla., after her father arranged a 10-day “scavenger hunt” vacation as a wedding gift. Ditto for the hundreds of women who have traveled with Pink Bus Mystery Tours out of Fargo, N.D.

Popular British band Take That has reportedly sold out the biggest tour in U.K. history. According to The Mirror, the Progress Live 2011 tour sold more than one million tickets in 24 hours.

The overwhelming demand crashed ticket-selling websites seconds after tickets became available on Friday morning. Ticketmaster issued an apology to frustrated fans.

Demi Lovato rehab for ‘emotional and physical issues’

Demi Lovato has shut down her Twitter account, abandoned her post on The Jonas Brothers’ concert tour, and checked into rehab for treatment of what insiders say is an emotional breakdown.

Oh dear, damn that Joe Jonas! Getting dumped by that cad must have really done a number on the poor girl.

A rep for the Sonny With a Chance actress, 18, confirmed the move in a statement issued late Monday evening. Demi Lovato spokesfolks championed the teen star for seeking help for “emotional and physical issues” that have plagued her for months.

She reportedly famously fell out with childhood pal Selena Gomez after Selena grew closer to singer Taylor Swift. And it was just last week that Demi flipped into Full Rant Mode on celeb gawkers (You’ll know who you are!) who insists on posting unflattering photographs of her on their blogs. The final straw came over the weekend, TMZ.com tipsters say. That’s when Demi nearly got into a knockdown dragout fight with one of the dancers on her tour. The altercation was the wakeup call Demi needed to reach out for help.

And of all the different elements of our wonderfully diverse culture, American music stands out as a genuinely unique cultural phenomenon that captivates the world as much as it captivates us. There is a certain “sound” that is so uniquely American that it could not have developed in any other nation than this one. That sound is big and bold, full of life and optimism and excitement. That is because the nature of American music is that it reflects the spirit and the heart of what it is to be an American.

The first thing that springs to mind when I ask about What is so great about America, might be the Statue of Liberty and White House, Disney World and Hollywood, Broadway and Wall Street or the mountains of Colorado or the towering skyscrapers in our biggest metropolises. And its true that even in the minds of Europeans or other cultures around the world, America’s cities are the envy of the world.

The third largest country in the world has many amazing cities and plenty of natural attractions to put on must-see list. And this list could stretch on forever. There are a huge number of unique fabulous cities in America that absolutely worth a trip, but just don’t get their fair share of the limelight. Have you ever been to Bar Harbor Maine or Savannah Georgia or Portland Oregon? If the answer is No, then you should! But if I have to choose top ten must-visit cities in America, I have to stay with the usual suspects. After all, you haven’t been to America if you haven’t seen cultural icons like the Statue of Liberty and Golden Gate Bridge, or natural features like Grand Canyon and Lake Tahoe.
